Your wedding is sure to be one of the most special days of your life – a day in which all eyes will undoubtedly be on you. This is all the more reason to find ways to incorporate your personality into your wedding day. Starting with the details.

It's no secret that detail photos are my favorite - it not only sets the tone and color scheme of your big day, but also defines who you are and what sets your day apart from others.

Prior to your day, I'll ask that you put together a "detail box." Let's chat about what you should consider including.

o1. stationEry

This is typically the base for those beautiful flat lay shots. Be sure to include stationery items like your invitation suite, vintage stamps, etc. Even better, while making your invitation suite, ask your vendor to create an envelope with a fake mailing address and return address. That way, no personal information is shown in the photo!

O2. Jewelry

Include items like your rings, earrings, bracelets, watches, and cuff links!

Pro Tip: Clean your rings the night before! Take a glass with water, a drop of Windex and dish soap, and place it in the microwave for one minute. Then, drop in your rings, let them soak, scrub with a gentle toothbrush and tada! Sparkly clean!

O3. Florals

I love including florals in detail shots. Be sure to set your bouquet aside or ask for some loose florals from your florist. This is a simple and beautiful way for you to showcase your color scheme.

O4. Sentimental touches

This is where the essence of your relationship can really shine through. I always encourage my couples to write a handwritten letter to one another. It not only brings out a lot of emotion, but can sometimes release some of those jitters before the day begins.

O5. Additional getting ready items

Shoes, perfume, cologne, anything else you think is a cute personal touch - let's photograph it all!
